The performative character of gender is visualised with the participants in body, expression and voice and its origins, including meaningfulness, are questioned together. At the same time, the aim is to work out how (unconscious) expectations of gender performance shape everyday life and one's own professional role (in one's own perception, in the perception of the other person, in the structures of the institution and in the patriarchal social order).
Finally, gender-neutral behaviour patterns will be tried out and "atypical communication strategies" tested with the aim of adopting them in the long term.
Stephanie Weber works full-time as an LfbA at the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences for Communication and Media Education, where she also works as an equal opportunities and anti-discrimination officer. Weber is a freelance lecturer for gender and media education.
For many years, Steph's specialisation has been on the topic of drag and gender (de)construction on a theoretical and practical level.
