Anna Herzog and Angelika Krehl from the NIERS Institute have published an article from “R3- Regional.Responsibility.Resonance” in “Regional Science Policy & Practice” (Volume 16, Issue 11, November 2024). They propose a research framework to more comprehensively analyze the role of social innovation in addressing “grand societal challenges” and related regional development issues. Innovation systems, resonance theory and context sensitivity are the cornerstones of the paper. The motivation is to leverage endogenous potential and promote social innovation.
