HSNR International
Profile and strategy

Hochschule Niederrhein. Your way.

Strengthening internationalisation - creating diversity - facilitating dialogue

Hochschule Niederrhein (HSNR) is very well networked both regionally and internationally.

Together with our global partner network, we are working to give all members of the university the opportunity to acquire intercultural skills.

Less mobile students, teaching as well as administrative staff are reached through easy access, short stays abroad and local initiatives (Internationalisation@home).

We sponsor activities and programmes to attract more international visitors, students and lecturers to our university and attach great importance to the development of tailored advisory and support measures.

In the current university development plan "Our way. 2022 - 2026", the increasing internationalisation of HSNR was explicitly named in the field of action "Strengthening internationalisation".

Internationalisation strategy of the HSN

The Hochschule Niederrhein's (HSNR) internationalisation strategy was developed in 2022 and 2023 as part of a participatory university-wide process involving all status groups.

The initial situation was analysed and goals, measures, resource requirements and priorities for individual activities were derived in five workshops with the participation of lecturers, staff and students.

External experts and regional stakeholders were also involved throughout the entire process.
